Healthy Aging Month-September

September is healthy aging month, which is a national awareness over the importance of our older adults and their health status. Keeping our adults 45 and up healthy is what this awareness is all about.
Living happier healthier lives as they age is importance. Keep reading to learn more about health aging month and how to bring awareness for our loved ones.
Healthy Aging Month
Improving physical and mental health for our adults is the number one priority, which is why healthy aging month was brought as an awareness for September. As people age it becomes more and more difficult to acknowledge the signs of unhealthy habits that could lead to diseases.
The reason for healthy age month is to motive adults to stay on track with their health and gain better habits as they age.
Taking care of your health
The reason why healthy aging month is in September is to help people become motivated after the summertime ends and the new season begins to appear. This was to help the baby boomers stay on track and set new goals for themselves.
Sometime during the fall and wintertime people tend to get more depressed as the cold starts to hit and lack motivations.
Some steps to take to gain motivation back is to walk daily, exercise, volunteer, get annual checkups and stay positive.
Raising Awareness
Recognizing early signs of unhealthy habits can decrease the chances of getting ill at an older age. Having interest in being motivating and having a healthy lifestyle is what it’s all about.
Loved one should help raise awareness and help others recognize how important this is for our baby boomers spreading the word on September 18th to encourage our loved ones to get their health status on check and live a positive lifestyle.
